Federal by-election & municipal budget
The West Vancouver 2027 budget priorities survey and the North Vancouver-Capilano federal by-election are coming up fast. These are opportunities to provide your ideas and vote for your priorities.
Municipal Budget
In our recent Positive Voices Community Survey, you identified four key priorities for our community:
increased transportation options to facilitate easier, cleaner movement.
greater housing diversity and affordability
stronger support for seniors and senior care
fighting the ever-expanding effects of human-made climate change, especially fires and flooding
Bearing these in mind, the District of West Vancouver 2027 Budget Priorities survey is now open for all those with a connection to West Vancouver to identify your priorities for the community in 2027. The survey closes on Thursday, September 10, and will only take a few minutes, so please take the time to speak up!
Federal By-election
For those who live in West Vancouver east of 21st Street and south of the Upper Levels Highway, you have an opportunity to speak up for the entire West Vancouver community in the upcoming by-election (please make sure you are registered to vote!). Although it is a federal by-election, we want to make sure that WV issues are not forgotten during the campaign. Federal governments can impact our communities just as directly as the province or the district.
We urge you to inform yourselves about the confirmed federal candidates and their platforms against the above priorities that could affect our WV community:
Please take these opportunities to make your voice heard locally and federally in the upcoming weeks.
Thanks for being involved in your democracy, Positive Voices
