West Van council votes is holding a public hearing on the Clyde Ave project on Monday, 6th March.
The last comprehensive review of West Van’s rental housing stock (published in 2020) found that 57% of renters were living in dwellings considered unsuitable, inadequate or unaffordable. Prices have only risen since then, with data suggesting that West Vancouver now has the highest rents in Canada.
That’s why it’s vital that we support permanent rental units such as the proposed studio apartment building on Clyde Avenue, which provides 201 more affordable rental units. That project will be considered at a public hearing before the council on Monday March 6th.
Urge mayor and council to support rental housing in West Van and vote FOR this project.
You can address the meeting at Municipal Hall in person, or by phone/ electronically.
