Rental protections rejected by WV council
Thousands of West Van renters could face ‘demoviction’, with our community losing much of its (already insufficient) rental housing stock, unless council rezones 30 apartment buildings as rental-only.
While the measure was recommended based on existing housing needs, and strong public support, some members of council have indicated that they would allow owners to redevelop the buildings to sell strata units.
Urge mayor and council to support rental housing now!
