Positive Voices hosted a ‘Vital Signs’ presentation on the state of our community

It is designed to support civic engagement, discussion and evidence-based solutions that meet the needs of our community.

The latest edition, the first since 2019, shows that we score well on a range of measures including safety, health, and sense of belonging.
But it also has some sobering conclusions, including:
An ‘F’ grade for housing
Fewer than 50% of respondents say West Van is a good place for youth
62% are pessimistic about the future of our community
Mobility, and particularly transit, need to improve.
