2025 in review

If you’ve ever wondered what Positive Voices is all about, here’s a short video to answer your questions so you can tell your friends.

2025 was very active for Positive Voices, with some important achievements:

First, our supporters have DOUBLED from 2,000+ to more than 4,000. Thanks to all of you who have joined.

We continued our advocacy at West Vancouver council in support of:

  • Ambleside Local Area Plan

  • Official Community Plan

  • Council Code of Conduct

  • Public transit,

  • Affordable housing

  • District budget

400+ attendees at Positive Voices ‘Fire Weather’ event:

Our sold-out event at Kay Meek with celebrated author and environmentalist John Vaillant, was supported by partners, the Friends of Cypress Provincial Park.

We continued to raise awareness of key environmental concerns:

  • the UNESCO Biosphere Region

  • the threat from wildfires and floods

  • food insecurity

  • the benefits of community gardens

We removed over 6,000 harmful items from Ambleside beach at the Positive Voices Earth Day Clean-up event

Monthly e-blasts to supporters

Our emails covered a range of topics and included responses to our questions sent to federal election candidates and School District Trustee by-election candidates.

Looking ahead

As we head into 2026 and a pivotal municipal council election in October, our mission remains to inspire, inform, and engage you in support of progressive initiatives in our community. We want to hear about the issues that matter to you, so look out for a pre-election survey coming your way soon.

Thank you all for a great 2025, and here’s to a positive 2026!
